Today I finished something I have been planning to do for a long time, and actually didn’t take too long when I put some effort into it. What I’m talking about is a Warrior Priest video. Not some “guide” for stuff people should figure out on their own, or a crit movie where some lone wolf is ambushing weak opponents. Just a movie showing the Warrior Priest in proper RvR action (ORvR and scenarios), doing something you don’t really see in movies - healing. That’s right, a full movie of my WP being Salvation and keeping my team alive to victory. Kicking someone’s ass with a big hammer might give instant satisfaction, but so does winning the battle.

It’s only recordings from two (or maybe it was three) days so I didn’t have that much to pick from, but I still had to cut away quite a lot of content to get in within reasonable length. In my perfect world it would be 30 minutes and full screen in high quality, but I know people (or at least me) are not so interested in downloading machinima movies that are over 1GB. This one is 15 minutes long and 273 MB big, which I consider perfect; the quality is good, enough that you can actually read the chat (if you squint a bit). I had planned on uploading a high quality version in full screen (1440×900) and in good quality, but it came out at 900 MB, which is a bit too much.

As for the content it’s tier 4 and mostly scenarios with a night of ORvR in Thunder Mountains (but it was quite massive). Enough people to make it epic but not enough to completely turn it into a zerg with unplayable lag. I really love the Serpent’s Passage scenario in that it’s one big group against another big group, with no small fights around everywhere, and it being the most popular scenario meant I had quite a lot of those fights. I also had some nice fight in Grovod Caverns and at least one in Howling Gorge, where the scenario got aborted since we were outnumbered, but it was nice to see how 5 of us could completely kick the ass of twice the amount of Destruction.

The title? Seriously I was staring at the title field for a long time and finally decided on something short and meaningful (I love Smite). Be happy it wasn’t something cheesy like “By the Grace of Sigmar” like I originally intended.

I would love to hear what you think of it all. Content, editing, length, quality, music choice, and whatever you could comment on. If I’m not entirely stuck on Knight of the Burning Sun the next movie will probably be as Grace, healing stuff with my hammer.
