I had seen plenty of screenshots on the Warrior Priest forums about it and it always looked cool. A bug they said, but I wanted it nonetheless, bug or not! Yesterday in Eataine it was finally time.
Another random quest I picked up, glimpsed at the rewards to see what I could sell for most profit to the merchant… and was stunned when I saw it. The Sword That Is Not a Sword! (Pun intended.) My eyes said it was a sword, but the world told me it was a hammer. I was confused for a second but quickly focused my mind and the hammer bent to the shape of a sword.
Young Warrior Priests, this is what awaits you when you get into tier 4. A breeze of change in the ordinary storm of hammers.
Only used it for half a level, but anyway. It has a proud place in the bank to be taken out when you feel like showing off. Make a macro saying something like “Behold Excalibur!” and toss a Touch of the Divine. Looks awesome.
Bottom line: no it’s not actually a sword. It’s a hammer that has the model of a sword, and it behaves just like a sword.
Mythic, don’t fix this mmkay?

I tried to finish that quest last night but I couldn’t get the horn to work on the flags. Going to try again tonight. It was late and I’ve been known to be a little slow in the head at times.
Theres a few of these about, its pretty nice to have a change of weapon when you only have one weapon skill =)
My Ironbreaker used to have a twohand-axe that equipped and looked like a onehanded one (twohand and shield? yes please), but your twohand sword is pretty awesome.
Hee hee - yep, we were in a scenario last week and I had to do a triple-take when I saw what looked like a WP brandishing a…. greatsword?
Asked my guildies, and they were of the opinion it was a visual bug - that the WP was in fact whacking away with a hammer, but to our eyes it looked like a sword.
Brushed that explanation aside at the time, as it didn’t make sense.
So… are WPs able to use swords? Does it animate correctly? If so, maybe this is working as intended? Who knows
yup, it looks cool - the WH has a pistol that looks like a sword so you can “dual wield” … not sure why they have such limitations on weapons, would be nice to have more variety.
Just about every piece of Ironbreaker shoulder armor I’ve acquired has the icon for body armor in its little portrait.

I want a hammer for my Swordmaster. The one here looks very Elven I think someone put the wrong model in lol. Looks good though although not very in line with Warhammer background
Cara looks WICKED. Speaking of odd weapon choices, people are hoping for a Dual-book wielding WPand a dual chalice-chugging DoK. Fun times.

Perhaps you are using it wrong. Have you tried holding it by the blade and beating people over the head with the hilt?
