Because I love link orgies, here is a post of interesting stuff I read this week. It isn’t expected to become a habit (it might be something recurring, but probably not every week), and it doesn’t have a fancy title. It’s just a post with links to interesting stuff.

Anonymous Defender on why people really play female characters. “That’s right. Give it to them you filthy little *****”
Australia and the other countries down under finally get into Beta. <insert crocodile dundee image here>
Oh wait, Massively already did that.
Zizlak’s Travel Diary has a recipe for those long sieges: “Elf on a stick”
Book of Grudges just keep throwing them at us… <fetches some pork>
BigRedKitty announce his Top Ten Rules of WoW Blogging
Waaagh’s photo contest. Cute (and somewhat disturbing) images.
The War Corps are expecting a baby… of a different kind.
The Frozen Elf writes to Black Guard
Boathammer on why Open Dungeons are bad
Massively avoid the NDA and report on the elves of WAR
Thankfully, the lack of a Dark Elf tank doesn’t break the game. Far from it really, since all the classes are surprisingly flexible within reason in concern to their core role. Essentially, Warhammer Online
seems to be balanced enough to handle the lack of a core class, which is a testament to the balancing Mythic has done up to this point
Gamespy has also avoided the NDA and are doing a massive review of their beta experience. 6 persons are playing different careers on the destruction side and tell us - from a gamer’s perspective - how WAR is.
I love it. So many other games in the market are played “straight…” But Warhammer isn’t afraid to pull its pants down.
Can you get better praise than that?
The unbalanced free-for-all PvP that occurs in most MMOs always struck me as the digital equivalent of hitting kittens with rocks. I get into games to play games — not get ganked minding my own business,
Then I discovered how good PvP could be when it’s confined to an actual rule set that makes it fair test of skill, not sneakiness. Warhammer Online is all about that. There is absolutely no unregulated PvP in Warhammer Online and I love that. Wherever you go, you know exactly what the rules are and exactly what you’re getting into.
Tech
Since the requirements for WAR was released people have been worrying if their ol’ trustworthy computer can run it.
The Greenskin got himself a new computer.
The Frozen Elf is worried about his WAR machine.
Bloghammer Online want help to build a WAR machine.
And The Cogworks help get your WAR machine ready for WAR.
Shoutouts - not really blog posts but interesting anyway
Casualities of WAR, a guild for WAR founded by bloggers, but you don’t have to be a blogger to join.
Blog Warhammer was also founded this week and is growing. If you have been blogging about Warhammer for a while, or just started blogging, or maybe thinking about starting, or simply like to read blogs, then you are welcome to join our discussion.

Nice links. Your site looks like it’s coming along quite nicely! And I noticed you’re on the blogwarhammer domain with Wordpress. Sweeeeeet! :)
@Snafzg: yea I figured I might use the space and bandwidth for the blog as well, instead of paying for two hosts ;)
